Financial Educator

Helping people going through a divorce to get back on their feet and make good financial decisions.

About Brandy

Brandy Agnew fights for families by first teaching them how money really works and then by helping them create the financial security and independence they deserve...even during divorce.   Brandy is passionate about helping men and women, going through a divorce to get back on their feet and make good financial decisions.  She offers  complimentary financial strategy sessions  to aid in decision-making.  Brandy walked through a difficult divorce and this is what created her passion to help others going through divorce.  As a mother of 6 amazing children ages 29, 27, 25, 23, 18 and 13 and she knows how crazy life can be to keep it all together.  Her goal was to try to keep their lives as stable as possible and to stay strong for them during the chaos.  It proved to be very difficult and what she needed then is what she is offering to her clients today.  Support, education and direction.

A note from Brandy:

It’s really important to know that during divorce that you’re not alone. It can feel so isolating because your entire social network, your neighbors, whatever else, may seem like everything is great for them and why you? So coming to terms with your situation emotionally is actually the number one job to be done. The important part is to start to build a team. So whether that’s friends, a family member, an attorney, a divorce specific real estate agent, a mortgage lender with a focus on divorce, a mediator and a financial advisor to help you figure out, how you navigate. Because you don’t need to go it alone. And take one step at a time. It can feel daunting when rest of your life is different than you originally planned.

The financial component can feel just as overwhelming as the emotional component, so it helps to be organized. We will start by taking an inventory of your assets, debts and income then we will begin to make a set of lists. This will give us a start in really getting organized.  Then we will tackle each thing as it comes in.  There are things that we can do before, during and after the divorce to help you to feel like you have some control over the new life that you are embarking on.  You are not alone in this process and when it's all said and done you will have learned how to stand on your own two feet and you will have a plan for your financial future!
